GirlsGoCyberStart is a CTF created to let girls "try out” cybersecurity to see what it's all about. CyberStart is a series of interactive challenges that explore exciting topics such as cryptography, penetration testing and digital forensics. Girls form teams of up to 4 members , then collaborate in person or remotely as the competition is completely online.
Who can play: females enrolled in 9th- 12th grade at a public or private school or the homeschool equivalent. High school must be located in one of these states or territories: American Samoa, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Texas, Vermont, West Virginia, Wyoming .
Top 3 teams win all-expenses paid trip to Chicago for WiCyS conference. Top 3 in each state win prizes like Chromebook, Raspberry Pi with Touch Display, Beats Headphones and Cash. Each winning school also gets money to support their STEM program.
Why is this on CTFTime if not everyone is allowed to play?
@defund for the same reason some high-school CTFs are. It's fine as long as it has 0p in global ranking.
